[BOOK REVIEW] Sams Teach Yourself Google Analytics in 10 Minutes

I use Google Analytics for my company and my clients. But I’ve never delved in beyond pageviews and traffic sources. So, as much as I dreaded what I thought would be complicated, I picked up Sams Teach Yourself Google Analytics in 10 Minutes by Michael Miller.

What a relief. It wasn’t as complicated as I thought. Miller breaks down the definitions of the searches and terms you see on Google Analytics like:

  • Bounce Rate: The percentage of visits in which the visitor enters and exits on the same page, without visiting any other pages on the site in between.
  • Click-through rate: The percentage of people who view an item and then click it; calculated by dividing the number of clicks by the number of impressions.

If you didn’t think you could teach yourself Google Analytics, I encourage you to prove yourself wrong and pick up a copy of this book!
